Agricultural Planning and Management

The Louis Berger Group (Berger) has undertaken a wide range of projects involving agricultural production, agro-processing, marketing, socio-economic and financial studies for agricultural agencies throughout the world. Within these studies, social services, human resources, and physical infrastructure planning and development (including irrigation engineering) have been combined to formulate detailed agricultural development programs. This approach has been used by Berger in analyzing projects throughout the developing world.

Berger has oriented many of its endeavors towards area-based agricultural development projects and has appreciable experience in these areas. It has applied the techniques of economic analysis to the problems of agricultural production and processing as well as to the evaluation of the overall economic efficiency of various production and industrial schemes identified by its staff.

Berger is especially aware of the need to transfer project planning and management know-how through on-the-job training of local staff and the formulation of plans for strengthening agricultural private and public organizations and institutions.
