Everett
Delta Lateral Growing demand for electricity in the Pacific Northwest and concern over the environmental effects of power generation have made natural gas the fuel of choice for new power plant facilities in the region. Northwest proposed to expand gas facilities in Snohornish Coumy, WA. to supply natural gas to a 248-megawatt combined-cycle power generating plant being constructed in Everett, W.A. The proposed Everett Delta Lateral would have a design capacity of approximately 133,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/day), of which up to 90,000 Dth/day would be delivered to fuel the power plant and 43,000 Dth/day to other local distribution systems operated by Puget Sound Energy. Northwest would install approximately nine miles of 20-inch-diameter pipeline with a tie-in to the existing mainline and loop north of the city of Lake Stevens. In addition, Northwest proposes to construct two mainline taps, a 20-inch block valve assembly, a pig launcher and receiver, a liquids separator and two delivery points at a joint meter station site at the end of the pipeline. |
