West Toll Highway Project, Portugal 
The Louis Berger Group was appointed to undertake the role as Lender's Technical Adviser to the Banks for the West Toll Highway Project (180 km) in the Republic of Portugal. This was a BOT Concession project under development by the AE Atlantico Consortium. This included an initial project review, due diligence and appraisal; technical, cost and contract analysis; and ongoing technical monitoring and advisory services. After the initial assignment that assisted the financing group, under the leadership of BPI as Agent, to assess the technical and economic viability of the project, the financing structure for the project was finalized and financial close was achieved in December 1998. The Louis Berger Group has an ongoing role as Lender's Technical Adviser in overseeing and monitoring the development of the project, for each new section of the project, the A 8 and A15 motorway sections, and taking over an existing section of motorway for toll operations and maintenance. |
